U.S. ARMY ISSUES SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR NETWORK TECHNOLOGY

The U.S. Army, through the System of Systems Integration (SoSI) Directorate, announced that it is seeking interested industry and government sources with mature solutions to enhance existing network systems capabilities to participate in the Network Integration Evaluation (NIE) 13.1 event, scheduled to occur Oct/Nov 2012 at Fort Bliss, Texas and White Sands Missile Range, N.M..

The Army’s System of Systems Integration (SoSI) Directorate, supported by the Army Test and Evaluation Command, the Brigade Modernization Command, Program Executive Office C3T, PEO IEW&S, and the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command’s communications-electronics center (CERDEC), held an Industry Day on January 11, 2012, at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, which coincided with the release of the NIE 13.1 Sources Sought notification. The goal of the event was to keep the Network industrial base informed of the Agile Process direction and integration process that supports the NIE and to outline future NIE participation opportunities. Special emphasis of this Industry Day will focused on the laboratory assessment phase of the Agile Process. Industry received detailed updates Agile Process criteria and reviewed capability gaps that exist as the Army continues to develop and solidify the Capability Set 13 Integrated Network Baseline for fielding and then continue incremental improvements to that baseline as technology advances, programs of record mature and operational needs are realized. This information is available on this website for download and consumption by your company team members to help better understand the Agile Process and its supporting Army laboratory resources.
