Future Force Integration Directorate (FFID)
The Future Force Integration Directorate (FFID) integrates modernization efforts in support of Army transformation in order to provide modernization-enabled modular brigades beginning FY 2025.
FFID integrates brigade combat team modernization efforts, conducts train-evaluate-test activities and delivers capabilities packages aligned with ARFORGEN (Army Force Generation) in order to enable Army modernization. On order, FFID conducts other brigade modernization efforts.
The FFID’s initial mission was to synchronize the delivery, preparation, and evaluation of all Army modernization products, including complementary systems; develop DOTL (Doctrine, Organization, Training and Leadership) products synchronized with the Program Manager, BCT Materiel Developments; and exercise direct authority over the AETF. The Operations section and the Simulations cell served as coordinators for scheduling and prioritization of initiatives related to the training of the AETF and their testing and evaluation of technologies.
